Elite Belle and Checkpoint, respectively second and third in the Roma Cup, are also likely to take their places in their field.

Only 13 horses have been nominated for the 1400m sprint event, although it is a very talented field. Most nominated horses are likely to accept, which will leave a fairly solid field of thirteen on Saturday. Without doubt we will be watching a very impressive race on the weekend.

The weather at Belmont Racecourse this weekend should be fine, if a little cloudy. There is no rain expected in the next few days leading up to the race.

The only black-type event on the race card, the Belmont Sprint field will have quite a few eyes on it as they head to the barriers and as they leap out of them. The race will be popular for bookies and punters alike, so make sure you grab a copy of the 2014 Belmont Sprint form guide to get the latest on the horses in the race.
